The first phase of Lillie’s Lighthouse has been complete for a few months, and has already had over 50 dogs come through.

This facility accommodates our newest dogs upon arrival at the sanctuary. During this vital 2-week transition of quarantine and decompression, our dogs are also medically and behaviorally assessed.

Phase 2 of this project will include plexiglass "doggy suites" which have an exterior door to allow the dogs to roam freely from the inside to the outside, while remaining safe and comfortable. This second phase includes building out these new suites to accommodate up to 28 dogs, in addition to pouring the concrete for the exterior, and installing outdoor awnings to protect our pups from the elements when they choose to be outside. We are also adding an industrial strength washer/dryer system, and enhanced drainage for easy sanitation and cleanup.

The exterior of Lillie’s Lighthouse will include a play area that is fully fenced-in so that the newest intakes can still enjoy playtime and freedom outdoors, while they await full integration with the rest of the pack.
